About
50+ Years of GOW Group
Our Humble Beginnings
GOW Group Inc started operations in 1968 by Mr. Gerald Gagnon. First as an ornamental steel manufacturer it built its reputation on quality craftsmanship. Through the years the company evolved into designing and manufacturing its own line of equipment for the potato industry and doing work in more industrial settings like sawmills and papermills.
Since the early 80’s the company as been designing and fabricating potato handling equipment sold through a network of dealers throughout North America.

The 2000's
New ownership formed of Gilles Desjardins, Jean-Maurice Gagnon and Marco Gagnon, continued with the design and manufacturing of equipment, and helping on material handling projects for various industries with conveyors of all sorts. Mr. Jean-Maurice Gagnon retired from the company in 2012.
In the mid 2010s the company expanded its on-site team by adding dedicated full-time employees to the staff. These teams have the capabilities of installing GOW Group built equipment or providing support to other manufacturers and/or customers installations with on location services. Services that included but not limited to welding, millwrights, crane operations, etc.
Looking Towards the Future
In 2022 the company introduced a new line of equipment to the building component industry (truss manufacturing). Since then, a line-up of assembly equipment for this industry has been developed and sold in Canada and the United States.
